It’s National Apprenticeship Week! Another great time to showcase the great work of our YouthBuild programs.
National Apprenticeship Week (NAW) is a National Celebration that offers leaders in business, labor, education, and other critical partners a chance to express their support for Apprenticeship. NAW also gives Apprenticeship sponsors the opportunity to showcase their programs, facilities, and apprentices in their community.
NAW has been extremely successful over the past two years, spurring a total of over 1,000 events across the country, and we couldn’t have done it without your help. This year, there are almost 800 events currently listed on the NAW website, and we encourage YouthBuild to keep the momentum going by spreading the word. You can participate in hosting events, meetings, webinars, etc. throughout the week and registering them on the NAW website. You can also learn more about apprenticeship by using the geo-mapping feature on the NAW website to find an event near you in which to participate. In addition, please share the below mailer NAW with your stakeholders and encourage them to participate as well. There’s even a NAW toolkit to help you plan and promote your event.
To make sure your YouthBuild event is highlighted on the website, please email your NAW pictures, videos, proclamations, and articles to NAW@dol.gov and use #NAW17.
Thank you again for all your support to promote and expand apprenticeship. Looking forward to another successful National Apprenticeship Week where we can showcase the great work of YouthBuild!
