About

The placement scaffold offers an approach to guide participants toward successful placement and career success. The webcast offers step-by-step instructions on assessing young people’s readiness and identifying opportunities with postsecondary education (PSE) and employer partners that match young people's current skills and support their career progression.
This webcast will walk through each step of completing and using the scaffold effectively and offer prompts and activities to complete independently in your own time or with your program’s team.
The webcast will walk your program through the following steps:
- Define different types of career readiness.
- Match your employer and PSE partnerships to your defined levels of readiness.
- Evaluate the readiness of each participant in your program.
- Use the Participant Scaffold and the Employer Scaffold to match participants to opportunities.
- Share additional resources your program can use to think about preparing youth for placement and building strong employer partnerships.
