Industry Awareness Webinar: Exploring Healthcare Pathways for YouthBuild Programs

This webinar will provide attendees with an opportunity to learn more about healthcare both as an industry and as a viable C+ pathway. You will learn about the certifications and credentials for jobs within the healthcare field, in-demand positions, career pathways and partnerships, and more. Attendees will hear from DOL YouthBuild grantees successfully implementing this pathway, as well as Healthcare Career Advancement Program (H-CAP), a subject matter expert in the industry.

Webinar attendees will:

• Gain awareness of the many career options within the healthcare sector.
• Understand what credentials, skills and training are needed to enter the various career options.
• Identify resources to independently research healthcare pathways (e.g., Bureau of Labor Statistic, competency models).
• Identify emerging pathways within healthcare including apprenticeships.
• Understand industry trends to proactively identify opportunities to adjust their credentials, skills training, or curricula to ensure that participants are gaining in-demand skills.

Audience: Job Developers, Directors, Case Managers, Educators, FPOs, and other YouthBuild staff.
