This YouthBuild Education Toolkit provides guidance for program leadership and instructional staff on developing and strengthening the education component of your program.

Sections of the toolkit cover curriculum design and models, instructional strategies, and classroom best practices. Throughout, there are comprehensive resources, such as teaching tools and lesson plan templates, that you can implement in your YouthBuild program immediately. Additionally, YouthBuild educational instructors will find support in incorporating Competency-Based Education (CBE) and Problem-Based Service Learning (PBSL) into their education programming.

This YouthBuild Education Toolkit is an updated version of the YouthBuild Education Manual.
